Bryce Corp., a Memphis-based maker of flexible packaging for food and consumer products with about 1,000 employees, had been on the same SAP core platform since 2005. Over two decades of customizations that once enabled advanced capabilities had become a burden—making upgrades difficult and limiting access to newer functionality—so the company decided it was time to modernize.

In September 2020 Bryce began an on-premise rollout of SAP S/4HANA with NTT DATA, favoring out-of-the-box capabilities to retire custom code and simplify future updates. The change affects roughly 90% of employees and sets the company up to adopt SAP Ariba, Concur and SuccessFactors, offer more flexible customer options, and reduce upgrade complexity going forward.
