The customer, a Fortune 500 household and personal products company, faced challenges with high paper invoice costs, excessive errors, and a lack of real-time procurement visibility that hindered their ERP system. They needed to compress payment cycles and consolidate their processes onto a single global platform. To address this, they partnered with SAP Ariba for its network and automation solutions.
By implementing the SAP Ariba Network and Ariba Supplier Enablement services, the company rapidly onboarded 970 suppliers. The solution leveraged PO-Flip® and cXML/EDI feeds to automate invoice validation, which drastically reduced errors. As a result, SAP Ariba helped the company achieve a 99 percent touchless processing rate, handling 15,000 invoices per month with straight-through processing, which was deemed a much better option than building an in-house solution.
