Alfavet Tierarzneimittel GmbH, a German veterinary healthcare company, sought a primary packaging solution for its Dia Tab chewable tablets that reflected the product's natural ingredients while ensuring optimal product protection and practical usability. The company partnered with vendor Sanner to find a sustainable packaging option.
Sanner implemented a solution using its BioBase tubes and DASG-1 closures, which are made from over 90% renewable materials. This packaging offers enhanced product protection with a 40% longer shelf life and features a tethered cap for easier recycling. The sustainable packaging was very well received, leading Alfavet to expand the use of Sanner's BioBase tubes across additional products and launch the new packaging in Switzerland and Austria with further European expansion planned.
