Laerdal’s, a world-leading provider of medical simulation manikins and training products, needed to modernize how medical scenario scripts were delivered — moving from fixed licensing and asynchronous content updates to tiered cloud subscriptions and real-time delivery to thousands of devices across 15+ countries. To accomplish this transformation, Laerdal’s partnered with Sanity, using Sanity as a headless CMS and asset CDN for their Laerdal Scenario Cloud.

Sanity delivered a flexible headless CMS and CDN integrated with Laerdal’s React, ASP.NET Core and Azure stack, connecting to user apps and internal APIs for script storage, collection management, localization and real-time content delivery. The Sanity implementation let Laerdal’s develop code and content in parallel, accelerate the move from prototype to production without reworking workflows, support multilingual interfaces, meet tight timelines, and distribute scenarios to thousands of simulators in 15+ countries — enabling cloud-based tiered subscriptions and faster iteration.
