CornerStone moved away from the monolith with help from Sanity

Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), a cloud-based learning and talent management provider with ~2,000 employees and software used by over 42 million people, needed to move off a monolithic CMS and quickly build editorial workflows for translation and multi-localized JAMstack websites. They engaged Sanity (Sanity.io) to replace the legacy system and provide a flexible content backend and editing experience.

Sanity delivered Sanity Studio and hosted content and image APIs, integrated with Smartling, and enabled custom previews, complex field validation, and reusable field sets for structured content. The result: marketers gained a tailored, intuitive editor, developers accelerated delivery and cut lead time and complexity, and CSOD launched the multi-language JAMstack setup in two months—demonstrating Sanity’s impact on speed, flexibility, and translation workflows.
