US Auto Dealership Saves $350,000 per Year with Sangoma Vega SBCs

US Auto Dealership, a six-location car dealership serving the mid-Atlantic region and Pennsylvania, wanted to cut telephone costs by moving to VoIP. However, its redundant IP-PBX cluster and existing SIP trunks were not interoperable, causing calls to drop and putting the project at risk. The dealership turned to Sangoma and its Vega SBCs, with help from BlueCloud Consultants, to bridge the gap between the PBX’s advanced SIP features and the basic requirements of the SIP trunk service.

Sangoma’s Vega-series Session Border Controller was deployed on-premises to properly manage SIP signaling, forwarding call setup and teardown while handling refer messages internally. This resolved the interoperability issues, enabled a reliable VoIP rollout across all six locations, and saved the dealership about $350,000 per year by replacing conventional telephone lines with SIP trunking.
