Upgrading Technology While Keeping Focus on Clients

Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in the UK needed a cost-effective way to improve communications for its busy advice centers while keeping its existing legacy Nortel BCM phone systems in place. Working with Sangoma and its partner Locall.Net, CAB sought a solution centered on SIP trunking and the Vega 50 gateway to reduce telecom costs and extend the life of its current infrastructure.

Sangoma’s Vega 50 gateways were installed to bridge the Nortel BCM systems to IP routers and Gradwell SIP trunks, enabling VoIP calling without replacing the core phone platforms. The result was faster deployment, minimal service interruption, no user retraining, and improved call routing between offices, helping CAB share workloads more efficiently and resolve client inquiries in a single call while significantly reducing operating expenses.
