RideOnTrack Partners with Sangoma to Deliver Mission Critical Communications to Railways in Belgium

RideOnTrack, a Belgian company specializing in mission-critical communications for railways, public safety, and other high-stakes industries, needed to modernize legacy telecommunication systems for customers like Infrabel while supporting both old TDM infrastructure and new IP/SIP networks. The challenge included building a reliable bridge for voice recording and operational telephony, as well as replacing track side multiplexers that connected analog phones and devices over long distances with high EMI interference.

RideOnTrack partnered with Sangoma and implemented Sangoma A-series E1 PCIe telephony cards and Vega 3000 Series VoIP gateways. Sangoma’s solutions enabled seamless interoperability across TDM, ISDN, CAS, QSIG, and SIP environments, while the Vega gateways supported up to 50 analog phones over distances of up to 12 km and were customized to handle poor line conditions and train-related interference. As a result, RideOnTrack won a 2016 tender to replace legacy track side multiplexers for Infrabel and now uses Sangoma across its voice recording and gateway products.
