Case Study: Leading US Grocery Retailer preserves inventory data reporting with Sangoma A-series cards

A Sangoma Case Study

Preview of the Leading US Grocery Retailer Case Study

One of the largest US grocery retailers chooses Sangoma for their inventory data reporting systems

Leading US Grocery Retailer, one of the largest grocery chains in the US, needed a way to keep its inventory reporting system running as its existing WAN router appliances were being discontinued. With 2,500 store locations relying on T1 connections to send real-time inventory data from each store to headquarters, the retailer faced the risk of having to replace its entire infrastructure with a costly fiber-based solution.

Sangoma provided A-series digital data telephony cards, enabling the retailer to build its own replacement router appliance using a third-party server, Linux, and a custom web GUI. The solution dedicated all T1 channels to raw data transmission, delivering 1.544 Mbps per connection and allowing fast, low-disruption deployment by simply swapping cabling. Sangoma’s cards gave the retailer a compatible, value-based alternative, and the company continues to use them in new locations as a backup to fiber-based systems.
