Case Study: IT’TEK achieves seamless legacy-to-VoIP transition with Sangoma Vega Gateways

A Sangoma Case Study

Preview of the IT’TEK Case Study

IT’TEK enables smooth transition of customers into IP telecommunications through Sangoma Vega Gateways

IT’TEK, a leading ISP based in western France, needed a way to help customers move away from costly, inflexible legacy telephony systems based on ISDN links. Many of its customers lacked the resources to fully migrate to IP, so IT’TEK looked for a resilient, interoperable and cost-effective way to transition them to SIP Trunking while preserving existing PBX installations. Sangoma, through its Vega Analog Gateways, provided the product/service used to bridge this gap.

IT’TEK implemented Sangoma Vega 50 Gateways, including 2BRI, 4BRI and 4FXS models, to connect legacy ISDN/analog lines to its SIP Trunking service during number-porting migrations. The solution was easy to deploy with a largely standard configuration, required few support tickets, and let customers keep their existing PBXs unchanged. As a result, customers reduced monthly telephone bills, while IT’TEK expanded its value-added services and revenue opportunities with a reliable, high-quality Sangoma solution.
