Leading US Power Company needed a replacement for its existing modem solution after its supplier announced end-of-life and discontinued support. With non-mobile utility meters spread across a large geographic area and connected through serial or analog modem infrastructure, the company faced both operational risk and security concerns if it could not keep systems updated. Sangoma provided the alternative, with its Dialogic Diva modem telephony cards as the core product.

Sangoma implemented Dialogic Diva PRI modem cards, allowing the company to move from analog lines to lower-cost PRI while keeping its existing meters and reusing its current servers. The new solution improved compatibility with modern Linux and Windows OS versions, enabled successful security-focused software updates, and reduced infrastructure and maintenance costs. Sangoma also continued to support the customer as they expanded into other projects.
