Villa Sandra S.P.A., a healthcare and rehabilitation center in Rome, faced a significant challenge with its aging two-node VMware infrastructure, which lacked high availability and guaranteed business continuity. In the event of a node failure, recovery times were very high, risking critical operational downtime. They partnered with Sangfor Technologies to implement a modern hyperconverged infrastructure solution.

Sangfor implemented its HCI solution in a three-node cluster. Two nodes were configured for high availability with a virtual datastore, while the third node was dedicated to backups with the unique capability to instantly boot virtual machines directly from a backup. This integrated solution from Sangfor provided Villa Sandra with instant VM restarts after a crash and the ability to immediately resume operations, significantly reducing intervention times for routine infrastructure management through a single, simple web interface.
