The University of Calabria, a major university in Italy, faced a challenge with its cloud infrastructure's insufficient storage resources and lack of reliability, as its systems were located in a single data center. They engaged Sangfor Technologies to implement a solution that would provide an active/active distributed infrastructure across two sites to ensure business continuity.

Sangfor implemented its hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution, which included aSV, aSAN, and aNET software, along with aDesk VDI. The hardware was installed redundantly across two separate server rooms. This solution provided high availability without a single point of failure, guaranteed synchronous data replication between data centers, and offered linear scalability. It resulted in a modernized ICT infrastructure that ensured operational continuity for the university.
