Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), a private university in Indonesia, faced challenges with bandwidth visibility, network congestion, and the inability to effectively manage internet access for students. The existing infrastructure was unable to enforce a quota system, filter unwanted content, or produce effective reports. UPH also struggled with managing a complex infrastructure from multiple vendors and ensuring application and data security for its students. They engaged Sangfor Technologies for a solution.

Sangfor implemented its Internet Access Gateway (IAG) to manage bandwidth with a quota system, prioritize educational traffic, and block access to restricted content. They also deployed Sangfor’s Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) to simplify infrastructure management and a Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) for advanced security. According to UPH, Sangfor’s solutions were easy to set up and led to significant improvements in efficiency, productivity, and overall network performance, providing a secure and user-friendly environment for digital education.
