Sogetel, an Italian digital innovation solutions provider, faced a significant security challenge after a 2020 data breach involving a Cryptolocker attack that encrypted workstations and led to the loss of a backup appliance and a domain controller. This incident highlighted the insufficiency of their standard endpoint antivirus and prompted them to seek a new solution from vendor Sangfor Technologies to better secure their production servers.

Sangfor Technologies implemented its Endpoint Secure solution, which provided Sogetel with integrated endpoint protection, vulnerability scans, and control over applications. The solution allowed for managed security policies, OS patching, and generated monthly reports to support ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance. As a result, Sogetel has installed Sangfor Endpoint Secure on every workstation and server, preventing malicious software use and keeping systems safe. They are now considering expanding their collaboration with Sangfor to evaluate its Cyber Command platform for even more comprehensive security.
