Mahasarakham University (MSU) faced challenges in meeting legal requirements for user identity verification across multiple devices and needed to replace its end-of-life firewall. The university required a more robust system to improve its network security, protect its web applications from advanced threats, and achieve centralized management to support its large student body. To address this, they partnered with cybersecurity vendor Sangfor Technologies.

Sangfor Technologies implemented a multi-layered solution including an Internet Access Gateway (IAG) for authentication, a Next Generation Application Firewall, and a Web Application Firewall. The Sangfor Endpoint Detection and Response platform was also deployed to integrate with these systems. After extensive testing, MSU found the Sangfor system to be flexible and easy to use, achieving their goal of providing robust, centralized cybersecurity for the entire university.
