Case Study: Vox Telecom boosts customer loyalty with Sandvine's Quota Manager

A Sandvine Case Study

Vox Telecom: Rolling Over the Competition

Vox Telecom, a South African fixed and mobile Internet provider founded in 1998, needed a way to differentiate its DSL offerings and reduce churn in a market where subscribers can switch providers simply by reconfiguring their home modem. Building customer loyalty was a priority, so Vox sought a solution that would make its plans more attractive and keep subscribers from leaving.

Using Sandvine’s Quota Manager, Vox enabled unused-data rollover for selected prepaid and postpaid plans with just a few configuration changes. The rollout let customers accumulate unused data (for example, a 50GB plan with 25GB unused per month can bank 250GB after 10 months), creating a strong retention incentive, a premium ADSL product with no shaping, and rapid time-to-market for a clear competitive advantage.
