Tigo Debuts a new Netflix Original Hit

Tigo, part of Millicom and a leading operator in Latin America and Africa, needed to turn the rapid rise of OTT video into a revenue and subscriber growth opportunity. The challenge was to design a compelling, mutually beneficial offer that would attract and retain customers across devices while clearly communicating the promotion.

Partnering with Sandvine, Tigo used Sandvine’s OutReach campaign tools to deliver a targeted promotion that gave select TigoStar and TigoSmart customers a free three‑month Netflix subscription, with certain Android devices pre‑loaded. The campaign expanded subscriber opportunities for both Tigo and Netflix, highlighted Tigo’s high‑speed network, and demonstrated how CSP–OTT partnerships can drive engagement and revenue.
