A SanDisk Case Study
Tramada Systems, a Sydney-based provider of travel industry technology, needed real-time business intelligence and faster reporting as data volumes and query complexity grew. Their MySQL-based reporting struggled with concurrency and peak loads, and the existing six-server, disk-based footprint drove higher colocation and energy costs.
By moving active MySQL data onto Fusion ioMemory ioDrive flash in each server and consolidating to two high‑core, 256 GB systems, Tramada achieved 60x faster report times, a 3:1 footprint consolidation and a reduction of about 2 kW per rack. The change delivered real-time reporting, higher concurrency under load, and lower colocation and energy costs, enabling better customer insight and productivity.
