A SanDisk Case Study
SevOne, a provider of high-performance network monitoring appliances, faced a scalability challenge when a large customer required tracking over two million elements (each with ~40 indicators), generating billions of baseline data points daily. The existing high-end appliance was being taxed and loading the short-term database into RAM was cost-prohibitive and operationally risky due to volatility.
SevOne benchmarked and adopted Fusion ioMemory ioDrive cards, finding near-RAM performance at much lower cost, then cached short-term baseline data on non-volatile ioDrives and implemented hourly backups to both ioDrive and disk. The change preserved drive bays for expansion, delivered real-time monitoring and much faster current and historical reporting across millions of elements and billions of data points, and improved data protection and scalability.
