Jointown Jet-Speeds Its Oracle-Based Erp System

Jointown Pharmaceutical, China’s third-largest pharmaceutical and medical distributor, was running a growing Oracle-based ERP system that slowed as product lines and users increased. Reporting and maintenance jobs began taking too long, and the IT team needed to maintain high application/reporting performance, improve hardware efficiency on a tight budget, and ensure 24x7 business continuity.

Jointown replaced its Fibre Channel SAN with Fusion ioMemory ioDrive Duo cards in redundant database servers (software RAID1) and used Oracle Data Guard for high availability.
