A SanDisk Case Study
IntegriChain, the provider of Demand Network Analytics (DNA) for major pharmaceutical companies, faced growing MySQL performance limits as customers and data volumes expanded. High-frequency, small-transaction workloads (one customer generated ~142 million transactions monthly) exposed an I/O bottleneck—450 IOPS from disks couldn’t keep up—so the company needed a cost-effective way to boost application performance, reduce tuning overhead, and scale without major code or architecture changes.
Working with Dell and SanDisk, IntegriChain deployed upgraded Dell servers with Intel processors and SanDisk Fusion ioMemory ioDrive devices as a drop-in solution. The change unlocked idle CPU capacity, enabled multi-threading (six simultaneous jobs), and cut ETL runtimes from 37.5 to 13.5 hours; overall throughput improved ~16X, individual jobs ran 3X faster than a CPU-constrained in-memory setup, ingest jobs sped up 4–5X, and the company moved from monthly to weekly product delivery with faster visualizations for all customers.
