Equinox, operator of 48 upscale fitness clubs serving over 160,000 members, relied on a single Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse that hundreds of managers and power users depended on for daily operations and analysis. As usage grew, query and reporting jobs lengthened and often didn’t finish before business hours, forcing reruns and leaving managers without timely intelligence.

Equinox installed a Fusion ioMemory (ioDrive) flash card in its database servers, which boosted query throughput from about 200 to 5,000 rows/sec (≈18x) and cut the warehouse load from 4–6 hours to under an hour, delivering 4–6x faster reporting overall.
