Cloudmark, a leading messaging security provider that defends service providers and subscribers from spam, phishing and viruses, was facing rapidly growing data loads that quickly outpaced its disk-based infrastructure. Its MySQL replication and analysis servers required continual capital-intensive disk upgrades, created large I/O bottlenecks, and consumed significant rack space and maintenance effort.

By installing SanDisk Fusion ioMemory ioDrive cards, Cloudmark eliminated replication I/O bottlenecks and dramatically increased performance—about 5x faster database replication and data queries and up to 10x faster analysis—while removing roughly 210 spinning disks and recovering 27U of rack space.
