Beat Tough Production Deadlines With Adobe Premiere Pro And Fusion Iomemory Iofx Solution

Hasraf “HaZ” Dulull, a VFX supervisor and film director, was commissioned by Synerscope to write, direct and produce a short viral film on a tight schedule. He needed real-time editing and visual-effects capability that he could use from multiple locations to deliver dailies, but his MacBook Pro’s internal drive struggled with constant caching of mixed formats and slowed the workflow.

HaZ solved the problem by running Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud from a Fusion ioMemory ioFX card in a Thunderbolt expansion chassis connected to his laptop. The plug-and-play setup (VSL software configured ioFX as a drive) delivered portable, post-house–level performance—real-time editing and VFX on 2K ProRes 444 files—streamlining work across locations and allowing him to meet the project’s fast turnaround.
