Continental Wine & Food (CWF), a Huddersfield‑based specialist wine importer and distributor with £43m revenue and 160 employees, was running Sanderson’s Swords for its core business while also relying on an HMRC‑approved bonded warehousing system (BondMaster). That dual‑system approach forced manual double entry, created compliance and data‑integrity risk, and became untenable when the BondMaster supplier withdrew support.

Sanderson developed bonded‑warehouse functionality directly within Swords, ran the new capability in parallel during a nine‑month rollout and secured HMRC approval so CWF could migrate to a single system. The integrated Sanderson solution eliminated rekeying and duplicate data, halved warehouse office workload, saved the equivalent of one full‑time salary, improved reporting accuracy and reduced upgrade and support costs.
