Utah Jazz upgrades arena fan experience with Samsung’s 607 displays in 129 days

The Utah Jazz faced a challenge at their Vivint Smart Home Arena, where outdated, paper-based communications and an underperforming digital signage system were failing to meet the needs of sponsors and fans. The venue's concourse messaging was static and could not be easily updated, which was at odds with the dynamic, digital expectations of modern brands.

Samsung implemented a solution involving over 600 smart displays with embedded SoC media players running the Tizen OS, installed by RevelTV. This new digital signage network provided dynamic, targeted messaging for sponsors and enhanced the fan experience with live feeds and promotions. The results included significant cost savings; an integrated IPTV solution eliminated the need for external decoders, reducing capital costs by roughly $1 million, while the reliability of the all-in-one screens improved uptime and reduced long-term ownership costs.
