Samsung Wi-Fi Solution Upgrade Enhances Internet Access and Information Security for Dallas School

Holy Trinity Catholic School, a nearly 200‑student K–8 school in Dallas, struggled with an antiquated wired network—unmanaged switches that exposed servers, no campus Wi‑Fi for students, staff or guests, and aging desktops that limited digital learning. To modernize connectivity and protect sensitive data, the school worked with integrator c2mtech to deploy a Samsung wireless LAN solution, including a Samsung WEC8050 access point controller and Samsung WEA302i access points.

Samsung’s deployment of one WEC8050 controller and 27 WEA302i 802.11n APs delivered campus‑wide Wi‑Fi, segmented users into separate wireless subnets for staff, students and guests, and enforced content and server access controls; classroom APs support about 25 concurrent users while library/lab APs handle 50–100 devices. The Samsung solution closed security gaps, enabled notebook‑based learning and guest Internet access, and provided a scalable platform (WEC8050 supports up to 75 APs and 1,500 clients) for future growth.
