Samsung Smart Signage Provides Streamlined Digital Menu Board Solution for Convenience Store’s Brand Transformation

Ideal Market, the convenience-store brand of Rocket Oil, needed to modernize its Marion, KY location as part of a broader brand transformation. The company wanted modern, dynamic digital menu boards that reduced printing and maintenance costs and allowed easy remote updates despite limited IT resources. To address this, it piloted Samsung’s MD‑C Series commercial displays using the Samsung Smart Signage Platform (with Signagelive’s Food Service Manager).

Samsung’s embedded Smart Signage solution delivered content over LAN without external media players, simplifying deployment and lowering total cost of ownership. The five 46‑inch MD‑C displays replaced static signage with dynamic menus, drew numerous positive customer comments, eliminated printing and chalk-board labor, and let staff update menus in minutes from a smartphone — prompting plans to roll the system out to seven to ten more Ideal Market locations and to use the displays for in-store advertising.
