Rocket Oil Company, a Kentucky-based chain refreshing its Ideal Market convenience stores, needed modern, affordable digital menu boards that were easy for non-IT staff to update and that would reduce printing and operational costs. To meet this, Rocket Oil Company selected Samsung’s MD‑C Series commercial displays powered by the Samsung Smart Signage Platform (with Signagelive’s Food Services Manager) as the pilot solution for its Marion, KY store.

Samsung installed five 46‑inch MD‑C Series displays that deliver content over LAN without external media players, simplifying deployment and lowering total cost of ownership. Within weeks Rocket Oil Company saw numerous positive customer comments, immediate savings on printing and labor, and faster updates—menu changes can be made in “five minutes tops” from a smartphone—leading the company to plan a rollout of the Samsung Smart Signage solution to seven to ten more stores and to use the displays for in‑store advertising.
