Samsung Galaxy Tablets Help Take Medical Conference into the Digital Age

The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), organizer of the annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) conference that draws nearly 12,000 attendees, sought to modernize its 300‑page printed program and turn the flagship meeting digital. To ensure every delegate had seamless access to schedules, live streams and interactive features, CRF partnered with Samsung and provided attendees with 8‑inch Galaxy Tab 3 tablets preloaded with customized TCT apps.

Samsung supplied preconfigured Galaxy Tab 3 devices, on‑site tech support, and tutorial materials so attendees could create personalized schedules, check in for continuing medical education credit, view live streams and participate in real‑time Q&A. The Samsung solution enabled TCT to go largely paperless—CRF used only one ream of paper for more than 10,000 attendees—cut printing costs, boosted engagement across concurrent sessions, and left participants with tablets they continue to use for clinical content after the conference.
