Samsung Displays Help to Construct State-of-the-Science Learning Environment

Texas A&M University’s College faced a major renovation challenge: convert the 98‑year‑old Francis Hall into a dedicated construction science facility with a state-of-the‑art BIM CAVE for 4D building simulations, plus reliable high‑definition displays for classrooms, conference rooms and wayfinding. To meet these needs the school selected Samsung commercial displays (including UD Series ultra‑narrow bezel videowall panels and Smart Signage) to provide consistent, high‑quality screens throughout the building.

Samsung, working with partner Avinext, installed more than 56 commercial displays—highlighted by a 36‑panel, 9x4 ultra‑narrow‑bezel UD Series videowall BIM CAVE—along with video walls, large‑format classroom displays and a touch wayfinding directory. The Samsung solution delivered an immersive BIM CAVE for virtual walkthroughs and 4D simulation, boosted student interest and enrollment (rising from about 60% to 86%), and enhanced remote learning, collaboration and the building’s appeal to prospective students and industry partners.
