Case Study: City of Philadelphia achieves faster, data-driven graffiti removal with Samsung and Fiberlink

A Samsung Case Study

Preview of the City of Philadelphia Case Study

Samsung and Fiberlink equip Philadelphia with powerful technology in their fight against graffiti vandalism

The City of Philadelphia’s Anti‑Graffiti Team needed a faster, more accurate way to collect and report field data to replace an inefficient clipboard-and-paper process. For a mobility pilot they selected Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 to run an ESRI-built data-collection app and required a cloud-based mobile device management system to remotely manage apps and data.

Samsung, working with Fiberlink’s MaaS360 EMM, deployed Galaxy Note 3 devices that let crews capture GPS-tagged photos, annotate with the S Pen, and enter data directly in the field while admins pushed apps, locked or wiped devices, and monitored work locations remotely. The Samsung solution eliminated paperwork, increased worker accountability and productivity, and delivered real-time data to help managers prioritize and target graffiti hotspots across the roughly 120,000 properties the team visits each year.
