Nation’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company updates business model with the Samsung Galaxy Note® II

Safelite Autoglass, the nation’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company serving more than 4.1 million customers and employing nearly 10,000 people, needed to replace older handhelds used by nearly 4,000 mobile technicians to improve ROI and upgrade its proprietary mobile resource management software (MRM3). Safelite selected Samsung’s Galaxy Note II to provide a larger, more intuitive screen and better usability for field technicians who needed to read small text and capture customer signatures on the go.

Samsung deployed more than 3,000 Galaxy Note II devices in under four months after a pilot showed the 5.5" display and S Pen were ideal for technicians; Samsung’s SAFE-enabled device also offered expanded MDM capabilities and access to 330+ APIs. The rollout eliminated paper signatures, improved compliance and associate engagement, sped and increased accuracy of 17-digit VIN collection via barcode/photo/voice, and delivered measurable cost and efficiency savings for Safelite Autoglass.
