igus Inc. faced a move into a new 160,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and two‑story office facility and needed a far more scalable, manageable and robust WLAN that would integrate with its communications system. After an unsatisfactory controller‑less setup, igus Inc. engaged Samsung (Samsung Wireless Enterprise) to provide a unified wireless and telephony solution that would eliminate downtime and support intensive 8am–8pm operations.

Samsung delivered a turnkey deployment—including a WEC8500 controller with 24 WEA302 access points, an OfficeServ 7400 phone system, seven Ubigate switches, 90 digital handsets and 35 Wi‑Fi handsets—installed in hours to provide seamless Wi‑Fi across the entire facility. The Samsung solution enabled simultaneous voice for all wireless handsets, eliminated voice outages and downtime, produced 100% staff mobility and extended coverage, simplified management, improved employee productivity, and delivered scalable, cost‑efficient growth and measurable ROI.
