A Samsung Case Study
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI), the North American design and engineering headquarters for Hyundai and Kia, faced a challenge with its outdated display technology. Their existing screens could not deliver the high resolution and true color definition required for modern automotive design, preventing designers from accurately viewing full-size vehicle models without taking up excessive studio floor space. They required a cutting-edge solution to bring their digital concepts to life.
Samsung implemented its microLED display solution, The Wall. This scalable, modular display provided a massive, high-resolution canvas that allowed designers to view 1:1 scale vehicle models in true-to-life color. The solution freed up 25 feet of floor space compared to the old system and integrated seamlessly with HATCI's existing design and VR software. Samsung's technology gave the design team the confidence to make accurate decisions later in the process and enabled real-time global collaboration.
