Enterprise Wireless LAN Powered by Samsung Delivers Seamless Wi-Fi to Conference Attendees

The Grand Wayne Convention Center (GWCC) needed a vastly improved wireless network to support large conventions and high device densities—their legacy Wi‑Fi became unusable at around 30 devices and required temporary local networks for big events. GWCC selected Samsung to provide an enterprise wireless LAN solution, deploying Samsung WLAN equipment including the WEC 8500 controller and WEA303e/WEA412i access points with Air Equalizer and SON technologies.

Samsung, working with Applied Technology Group (ATG), delivered a custom‑designed Wi‑Fi infrastructure with more than 40 access points and specialized patch antennas in under three weeks. The Samsung solution enabled thousands of concurrent users and live video streaming with no customer complaints (e.g., 1,200 attendees and 700 devices at one event), eliminated ongoing manual network setups, required minimal IT upkeep, generated zero support calls, and delivered up to 30% higher throughput through Air Equalizer.
