Encompass Home Health, an Inc. 5000 Top Health Company and Medicare‑certified home health care agency, needed better caregiver access to patient information and the ability to document findings at the point of care. To address this challenge they partnered with Samsung and deployed mobile technology, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 integrated with the Homecare Homebase PointCare Manager.

Samsung equipped 2,000 health agents with Galaxy Tab devices and the PointCare Manager to create a paperless workflow; patient information was recorded instantly, critical data flowed faster across care teams, and staff could perform more in‑depth documentation. As a result, Encompass Home Health achieved a paperless environment, increased productivity, improved employee satisfaction, enhanced compliance and higher quality of care.
