A Samsung Case Study
Groveport Madison School, a suburban Ohio district serving more than 5,800 K–12 students and over 400 staff, struggled with a fragmented, slow and hard-to-manage mix of iOS and Windows devices that left teachers avoiding technology and IT stretched thin. Superintendent Bruce Hoover and Technology Supervisor Peter Dotson sought a scalable, low-cost solution to deliver one‑to‑one blended learning and remote access; they turned to Samsung and Google Apps for Education, replacing the patchwork devices with Samsung Chromebooks.
Samsung implemented a district-wide Chromebook rollout—an initial purchase of about 660 devices and now supporting more than 2,500 Chromebooks—delivering fast boot times, long battery life and centralized web-based management that cut deployment and maintenance time. The Samsung solution lowered total cost of ownership, simplified updates and repairs, increased daily student access and collaboration, and boosted teacher adoption and student engagement across the district.
