Del Valle Schools Expand Student Computing With Samsung Cloud Displays

Del Valle Independent School District, on the periphery of Austin, serves over 11,000 students across 14 schools and was struggling with aging, slow PCs, tight budgets, and growing enrollment that limited student computing access. To expand district-wide access and prepare students for college and careers, Del Valle partnered with Samsung to deploy Samsung SyncMaster Cloud displays (NC190) integrated with VMware vSphere and hosted on Cisco UCS servers.

Samsung’s Cloud displays replaced bulky PCs with thin‑client monitors and centralized virtual desktops, boosting computing density in classrooms and labs, reducing break/fix and virus problems, and speeding upgrades that previously took days so they can now be done during lunch or after school. The Samsung solution improved IT productivity, delivered cleaner, more reliable student sessions, and broadened student access to learning technology across the district.
