Children’s Health in Dallas cuts device recycle time 75% with Samsung Knox Configure

Children’s Health, a nonprofit hospital network in Dallas, faced a mobile security challenge when its home health workers used work tablets for personal activities, putting patient data at risk. Theft of devices from cars was also a frequent problem, and the lengthy process of manually recycling tablets between users was highly inefficient. They needed a more secure and manageable solution for their mobile fleet.

Samsung addressed these challenges by deploying over 700 Galaxy tablets secured with its Knox Configure platform. This solution allowed administrators to remotely lock down devices into a secure kiosk mode, wipe data if stolen, and automatically reconfigure tablets for new users. The results were significant: Samsung's Knox Configure reduced device recycle time by 75 percent and cut technician time spent transporting devices for reset by 97 percent, enabling the network to plan for a major expansion.
