The American Society of Agronomy, which shares headquarters and staff with the Crop Science Society of America and the Soil Science Society of America, faced a growing communications challenge: connecting regional certified crop advisers and members quickly and reliably after a headquarters move. To modernize call routing, voicemail and remote access, the societies engaged Samsung (through dealer Digicorp) to deploy the Samsung OfficeServ 7400 communications system.

Samsung’s OfficeServ 7400—installed with digital and IP phones, an auto-attendant for state/province routing, voicemail-to-email, “follow me” forwarding, fax-to-PC and call recording—was configured before and during the move to ensure zero downtime. The solution made staff more reachable, sped connections to regional representatives, added editorial call recording, improved inter-office efficiency and is expected to deliver more than 10% annual cost savings for the organizations.
