Digital Caddies, a leader in on-course delivery of technology and content for golfers, needed a rugged, sunlight-readable tablet with long battery life and reliable GPS to power interactive devices mounted in golf carts. They selected Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1") to meet these requirements and support their Android-based software and outdoor use cases.

Samsung provided the Galaxy Tab 2 along with partner-enabled services (Sprint connectivity and golf cart-compatible chargers, cases and mounts) to deliver accurate GPS distances and interactive content. As a result, Digital Caddies has deployed 12,000 tablets at more than 160 courses (with plans for 50,000 in 300+ courses by 2015), earning praise from golfers and course operators for display, performance and GPS accuracy and attracting advertisers to the platform.
