KBR cuts data centre PUE to 1.3 with Salute Mission Critical

The customer, KBR, a leading global engineering, construction and services company, required a new, ultra-efficient replacement data center for its UK site. Their challenge was to reduce operational costs and demonstrate technological leadership. They commissioned vendor Salute Mission Critical to act as the principal contractor for the design and build of this new facility.

Salute Mission Critical designed and built a highly efficient, scalable data center with a bespoke cooling solution. The results were significant, including a predicted Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.3 and projected annual savings of 4.1 million kW-h in power consumption. This also led to a reduction in emissions of 2.2 million kg per year, while providing N+1 resilience and future-proof scalability.

KBR
