Zoe-Bars is a pair of award-winning bars in Hamburg’s Schanzenviertel that needed a reliable, user-friendly access system after a burglary severely damaged their long-standing SALTO installation. Owner Thomas Haack consulted SALTO Systems and was recommended SALTO KS (Keys as a Service, formerly Clay by SALTO) to replace the damaged system and meet the venue’s needs for secure yet flexible access control.

SALTO KS delivered a wireless electronic access control solution with real-time remote management, mobile app control, and smart-lock audit logging, allowing Zoe-Bars to manage 35 users (with five more cylinders to be added) and remotely open doors for film crews or staff. The SALTO KS deployment has cut door-side administration, simplified granting and revoking of rights, enabled on-the-go monitoring and remote openings, and materially reduced time, cost and hassle for the bar’s operations.
