Wheelhouse is a curated coworking space in central Amsterdam hosting creatives in a historic Art Deco building. To avoid the inefficiency of mechanical keys for its 35 members and frequent events, founder Bastiaan van Duijn looked for remote access, access-group management and a helpful integration — and chose SALTO KS electronic locks and cloud-based access control.

SALTO KS provided a wireless access control system integrated with OfficeR&D, enabling remote door opening, single‑tag access across spaces, time‑based access groups and event logs. As a result, Wheelhouse now manages 35 members and 5 doors with clearer security, faster onboarding, better room‑usage insight (used to schedule cleaning and identify busy periods) and significant time savings for staff; feedback on the SALTO KS integration has been “more than positive.”
