Blue Water App is a cloud-based booking and payment platform that connects sailors to marinas across the Netherlands and Belgium (and beyond), serving more than 100 marinas and 75,000 boaters since 2013. Faced with the need for an integrated, secure access control solution so customers wouldn’t have to pick up physical tags or codes at marina offices, Blue Water App selected SALTO KS to deliver PIN-based entry and the option to introduce mobile keys.

By partnering with SALTO KS (KS Connect), Blue Water App added PIN functionality, remote door opening, event logging and user management into its booking flow. The SALTO KS integration was rolled out in IJmuiden and Scheveningen and in the first launch phase supports over 4,000 users and ten doors, delivering time and cost savings, easier access management (grant/revoke by timeframe) and improved customer experience; Mobile Key support will follow in upcoming months.
