Bencom Group, a comparison-site company founded in 1998 with 55 employees and nine sites, faced heavy administrative overhead from mechanical keys while pursuing a “smart, sustainable” office strategy. Already a cloud pioneer, Bencom sought cloud-based access control and engaged SALTO KS to replace mechanical keys and enable mobile Digital Key access.

SALTO KS delivered its cloud-based SALTO KS platform with XS4 One smart locks (20 locks replaced) and Digital Key functionality, installed by Uw Deurregisseur van Klunder. The solution gave employees phone-based entry, remote user administration, event logging, and temporary remote access for cleaners/installers; the XS4 One locks include BioCote antimicrobial coating (reducing microbes up to 99.99%). As a result SALTO KS eliminated much key-related administration, improved operational flexibility, and created integration opportunities via the SALTO KS API for further energy and space efficiencies.
