A Salt Security Case Study
Armis, an agentless enterprise device security provider, faced an urgent API scale problem when customers shifted to remote work during the pandemic. The company went from tens to hundreds of APIs in weeks and spun up more than 100 new integrations in the first months, making manual documentation, testing, and security impossible; Armis evaluated options and selected Salt Security for automated API protection and discovery.
Salt Security deployed its API Protection Platform to automatically and continuously discover and baseline Armis’s APIs, mirror traffic, detect anomalous behavior, and surface only true attack patterns to reduce alert fatigue. As a result, Armis gained a continuous inventory of APIs (including sensitive-data exposure), faster safe API releases with runtime protection, remediation details for DevOps, and the ability to submit a full API catalog for FedRAMP—freeing integration teams to build new integrations instead of building monitoring.
