SMG/Moscone Center, the large convention and exhibition complex in San Francisco, needed to replace an aging analog security system with a modern, analytics-capable solution to harden a soft target, monitor large interior and exterior footprints, and provide real‑time visibility for guards. To meet those challenges they selected Salient Systems’ CompleteView VMS/CompleteView Enterprise as the core of the upgrade, alongside integrations with existing access control systems.

Integrator Microbiz Security deployed Arecont Vision multi‑sensor IP cameras, a Dell server with RAID6 and integrated Salient Systems software tied to Honeywell ProWatch for door‑alarm-triggered video call‑up and alarm events. The Salient Systems platform provided intuitive maps, analytics and real‑time video that simplified operations for guards, improved situational awareness (including targeted exterior coverage where homeless populations congregate), and enabled faster guard dispatch on forced or held‑open doors—delivering seamless adoption and stronger, more responsive security for the SMG/Moscone Center.
